Democrats may have a chance

On February 14, 2010, The Austin American Statesman featured an article "Local hopefuls favored to win while those seeking state office remain underdogs" by Jason Embry and Steven Kreytak .

It's safe to say to that the Democratic party would not be surprised if they didn't snag a position in the state wide office, but there might be hope for the Democrats wanting to obtain a local position. Bill white an Farouk Shami both are both strong candidates for the governor election. Bill White has more experience and has won many elections by large numbers. Any candidate that was re-elected twice, can very well make there way back into office. As for Farouk Shami a hair care mogul, does not really have the experience needed to uphold a position in office. Although Shami has spent millions of his own money and claims that he can bring an outsiders view to the government, personally I don't think that I want a man that is a hair care mogul being a part of my government office. What could he possibly bring to office, hair products? The Democrats have a chance but it going to be challenge.
